Providing opportunities to serve and bring the Truth of restoration to communities in need.
Join us as we become the hands and feet of Jesus to those in need. Whether we are assisting victims of natural disasters, those in the inner city that need a loving touch or country folk whom to often get forgotten, Xertion C.R.U. is bringing hope and restoration. Here are 3 exciting opportunities for you to get involved:
- Xertion C.R.U.travels across the nation assisting those that have been affected by a natural disaster. Trips are usually a week in length and often scheduled with little notice, as God doesn't inform us when a disaster is about to strike. Service opportunities include cleanup, rebuilding and sharing the love of Jesus.
- Xertion C.R.U. takes part in a 'community makeover' type event in Buffalo, NY called Breakout. Xertion partners with many other churches and organizations for this event. Xertion C.R.U. oversees the building project portion of this event. The second week of July hundreds of volunteers converge on a Buffalo neighborhood and bring hope and restoration through serving, rebuilding and sharing the love of Jesus. 20-30 homes are transformed with new roofs, siding, painting, porches and landscaping. Come join us July 8-14, 2012 and transform a community while God transforms you.
- Xertion C.R.U. leads mission trips in our hometown of Buffalo, NY. Come to Buffalo and change your life forever. Whether you prefer the inner city, the suburbs or the countryside there are limitless opportunities to serve and put your crew to work blessing others. Families, widows, single moms, retired folks and people from all walks of life are waiting to be blessed. Not only will you have the privilege of serving with your hands but you can share the love of Christ through your work and your words. The scope of work will be tailored to your group. Service opportunities range in skill level from general clean-up to painting to building porches. Xertion will make all the arrangements so your group can focus on serving.
Of course you can't have all work and no play. Take a day of your trip to relax and have fun. Only 30 minutes from Niagara Falls, 60 minutes from "The Grand Canyon of the East" or 25 minutes from Darien Lake Theme Park and Camping Resort. There are numerous options within an hour drive to provide the break time you'll need.
Make your trip complete by throwing a block party on the streets of Buffalo. Invite the neighborhood to have some fun eating food, face painting, playing games, and learning about God. Attract a crowd with a bounce house and some cranking music and share the Gospel through dramas and skits.
While here in Western New York you will be camping in the countryside 30 minutes outside Buffalo, NY. Relax in the evening by swimming in the pool and hot tub, taking a hike in the woods, or playing games. Plenty of space to get some "alone" time or have fun as a group. If the weather happens to get stormy we have indoor options too.
Trips begin at $229 per student for 5 nights, six days. Costs include lodging, food, ministry opportunities, and guides to make it a smooth week. Some recreational opportunities and large scale service projects may cause costs to increase.
Trips available in spring, summer and fall.
